In this screencast I show how I take a text and summarize it. I take text from a news journal and place it into a gui application I wrote to demonstrate the open text summarizer. As you can see the program selects the most important sentences from the article. In the movie the article from "theregister.com" is copy-and-pasted into the gnome-summarizer, which is a linux/GTK application which is programmed in C and linked to the libots library.
